Challenge

Problem

Create an efficient means for commuters to pay seamlessly and the conveniently access train stations and buses in New York.

Insight

1 million plus OMNY taps in 20191 City agencies care about reducing single use plastic by 95%2 80% of OMNY customers use digital wallets3 People want to keep track of their travel history4 87% of transport agencies have implemented or are implementing mobile ticketing5

Solution

We believe providing a mobile app will help to reduce anxiety of customers frustrated with malfunctioning machines and lack of purchasing locations.

Process

Thinking through the motivations of the user's a synthesis from the cluster of insights gathered warranted the process of using a paper prototype to create the user journey.

Design System

Using most of the colors of the New york city flag inspired the design of colors.
